This action stops the energy to the mitochondria, and after 6 hours, the treated follicles will no longer work.
How it Works
Epilfree works on an empty follicle, which is a completely different modality to laser or electrolysis. Because of this, Epilfree is effective on every hair color, including blonde, red, gray and vellus facial hair. It is also safe for every skin color and even over tattoos. There is no chance of hyperpigmentation as Epilfree has no contraindications with the sun. It is used along with a waxing or sugaring service after the follicle is empty. Epilfree is effective on the anagen-phase hair follicles by targeting and stopping the duplication of new cells, which after 6 hours renders the hair follicle useless.
Since Epilfree works on the live anagen follicles, like laser, treatments have the best results when done every 4 to 6 weeks. The average number of treatments needed is between 10 and 12 but can take up to 20.
